Zanus AI vs Zian AI: Outbound AI Calling Compared - Zian AI

Zanus AI vs Zian AI: Outbound AI Calling Compared

Quick answer: Zanus AI’s Auto-Call is built around reminder, notice, confirmation and callback calls to registered contacts. Its pricing builder lists it at US$149 a month on top of the US$99 AI Phone (as at 6 October 2026), though other Zanus pages place scheduled Auto-Call inside a solution. Zanus’s pages differ on whether its AI calls purchased lists. Zian AI runs outbound sales agents on phone, SMS, email and WhatsApp. Reminders fit Zanus; prospecting fits Zian.

Zanus AI is a Florida company with three product lines: Front Office AI (a hosted system that answers and places calls), Back Office AI, and Airtight AI on-premises servers. Zian AI is an autonomous AI sales-agents platform. This page reads Zanus from zanusai.com, applies the ACMA’s Do Not Call Register rules, and gives you five questions that settle the choice.

Zanus AI vs Zian AI, side by side

Question Zanus AI (zanusai.com, read 6 October 2026) Zian AI (published capabilities)
Who the AI calls Pages differ: Auto-Call pages say registered contacts with consent, and the trust page says imported contacts are “nurture-only with consent required”; the Front Office overview says of purchased lists “the AI calls, emails and nurtures them by itself” Outbound prospects and leads via the Outbound Appointment Setter agent
Call purposes each names Appointment reminders, notices, confirmations, callbacks Agents named Outbound Appointment Setter, Sales Call Closer and Appointment Show-Specialist
Channels Phone, chat, email, web forms; text or email fallback after an unanswered call Live phone, SMS, email, WhatsApp
Consent and do-not-call Consent flag with date, do-not-call mark, instant opt-out on any channel Not itemised in the published capability list; ask
National register washing No national-register statement found; uploads have “do-not-call matches removed”, source list not named Not itemised in the published capability list; ask
Calling windows Per-weekday call window, attempt cap, voicemail rule, approval before launch SmartReach AI orchestrates channel and timing by country, industry and profile
Phone numbers Local number in your area or your ported number; forwarding without porting Not itemised in the published capability list; ask
Languages 40 languages; FAQ says English is included and others are one-time packs priced per pack 30+ languages, voice cloning supported
Script improvement Corrections you approve; claim guard blocks statements with no source PrecisionPitch AI split-tests scripts and approaches against real outcomes
CRM write-back Native sync with “The leading CRM suites” (its pricing FAQ names Salesforce and HubSpot, syncing “contacts, companies and deals both ways”), calendar sync, webhooks, read-only API, MCP server HubSpot, Salesforce, HighLevel, Zapier, API
Deployment Hosted (US or EU region); hybrid on-prem tokens; air-gap capable on-prem servers by quote SaaS; private model deployment on customer infrastructure
Published price Yes: pricing builder lists AI Phone US$99 a month and Auto-Call US$149 a month, credits at 1 US cent; other pages say scheduled Auto-Call “comes inside a solution” No published prices; plans named only
Trial 7 days, no credit card, one per company Access by partnership application during beta

Read the table by the given-number test. Zanus’s Auto-Call strengths (consent on the record, approval before launch, voice-minute caps) are built for people who already know you; Zian’s (four channels, split-tested scripts, volume across countries) for people who do not. If Zanus confirms its AI will call your purchased list, those are still telemarketing calls, and the washing, timing and identification rules above are yours to meet.

If your list is prospects rather than customers, see whether a Zian agent fits your outbound motion. Zian runs live phone, SMS, email and WhatsApp agents in 30+ languages, with CRM integrations for HubSpot, Salesforce, HighLevel and Zapier.

How does Zanus AI compare for AI outbound calling?

Zanus does make outbound AI calls, and it is specific about what kind. Its Auto-Call page says the AI calls “on a due date, a ready order, tomorrow’s appointment, a funnel step or a list — to registered contacts”. The pricing feed behind its Front Office pricing page describes the Auto-Call item as “Outbound calls by the AI: appointment reminders, notices, confirmations, callbacks”, with “Consent and calling-hours rules; retries and an e-mail fallback when nobody answers”.

Zanus’s examples are a homeowners’ association reminding a resident that a policy is due, and an auto service centre confirming a 9am appointment. In announce mode the AI delivers your message and offers a call-back; in agent mode it holds a conversation, moves the appointment, collects a missing detail or transfers to a person.

Zanus’s Enterprise Trust page states: “Calls follow hard system guards — only numbers the contact gave you, local-time windows, instant permanent opt-out. Imported contacts are nurture-only with consent required.” Its Windows & Caps page adds approval before the first dial and daily voice-minute caps that stop “a duplicated list or a looping trigger”.

Read together, the Auto-Call pages describe an outbound engine designed around people who already deal with you, which is a large and useful job.

Zanus does not stop at reminders, and its own pages pull in two directions on purchased lists. Its Front Office overview says: “Import any list”, then “Trade show leads, purchased lists, old CRM exports — the AI calls, emails and nurtures them by itself.” Its CRM page invites you to import “Trade-show badges, purchased lists, exports from a retired CRM” and “let the funnels work them”. Its trust page, quoted above, says calls go to “only numbers the contact gave you” and that “Imported contacts are nurture-only with consent required.” Those statements can be reconciled several ways, and Zanus’s pages do not say which one applies, so ask Zanus in writing what its AI will dial on a purchased list before you plan around either reading.

Zanus also supports human-led outbound. Its AI Call Desk gives operators a browser phone and a work queue “prepared by Front Office”, and an AI Assist option suggests answers on screen while your person talks.

Two kinds of outbound call, two rulebooks

Australian law draws a line between these jobs. The Do Not Call Register’s Using the register page says a telemarketing call “has two key elements—it must be a voice call and it must have a particular commercial-type purpose”: offering, supplying, providing, advertising or soliciting goods or services, land or an interest in land, a business or investment opportunity, or donations.

The same page lists six kinds of call that are “not considered to be telemarketing”: calls related to product recall, fault verification, appointment rescheduling, appointment reminders, payments, and solicited calls about orders, requests or customer enquiries. Nearly every example on Zanus’s Auto-Call page falls into one of those six; your adviser still makes the call on your list.

Prospecting calls sit on the other side. For a telemarketing call to a number on the register, the page states the prohibition does not apply in three situations (separate limited exemptions cover designated calls by registered charities, educational institutions, government bodies, registered political parties, social researchers and opinion pollsters): the caller washed its list in the last 30 days and the number was not on the register; the account-holder or their nominee consented; or the call was made by mistake after the caller took reasonable precautions and exercised due diligence to avoid it. Express consent that was not given for a set period or indefinitely is taken to expire three months after it was given, and consent ends immediately when someone says they no longer want the calls.

Then the industry standards page adds rules that apply to telemarketing and research calls to Australian numbers, “even those not on the register”. Under the Telecommunications (Telemarketing and Research Calls) Industry Standard 2017, calling line identification must be on, the return number must stay reachable for at least 30 days, someone who rings that number back must be able to learn within a reasonable time the caller’s employer, the purpose of the call and (for telemarketing calls) who caused it to be made, the caller must end the call immediately if asked or if the consumer otherwise indicates they do not wish to continue (or if the caller is made aware that the person is not at their usual residential address, it is outside the permitted calling times where they are, and they do not specifically ask to continue), and required information must be given during the call. Telemarketing calls may be made only from 9:00am to 8:00pm on weekdays and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays, with no calls on Sundays or national public holidays, unless the consumer has consented to being called at that time. The ACMA’s enforcement options run from formal warnings to penalties of up to $250,000.

Here is the rule that falls out of those two pages. Call it the given-number test: if every call on your list reminds, confirms, collects or calls back someone who gave you their number for that purpose, you are buying a reminder engine; if any call offers something, you are running telemarketing, whoever gave you the number, and you are buying an outbound sales system that must wash, time and identify every call. Consent changes whether you may call a registered number. It does not change what the call is. This is a test of your list and your obligations, not of what any vendor’s software can dial.

If a reminder call also carries an offer, check that classification before launch. The page on whether AI cold calling is legal in Australia under the DNCR rules walks through the prospecting side in more depth.

The five questions that decide it

For outbound calling, five operational questions decide more than voice quality, and each can be answered from published pages before you book a demo.

1. Who supplies consent and the do-not-call check?

Zanus keeps consent on the contact record: “the consent flag and when it was given, the do-not-call mark, preferred language, preferred hours”, and a “stop calling” said in any channel sets the flag instantly. Its Lists & Sign-ups page says an uploaded list is reviewed before the first call, with “do-not-call matches removed”, but it does not name the list those matches come from. On the zanusai.com pages we read on 6 October 2026, we found no statement that Zanus washes lists against Australia’s Do Not Call Register or any other national register. For prospecting it is the first control you need; the method for Do Not Call Register washing for AI diallers is worth reading before you choose any vendor.

2. Where do the phone numbers come from?

Zanus’s AI Phone includes “A local number in your area (or your ported number)”, and you can forward your existing line with “no porting needed”. We found no list of the countries where Zanus issues numbers, so an Australian buyer should ask for a +61 number in writing. Zian’s published capability list does not itemise number provisioning either; ask the same question in your partnership application.

3. How many calls, and who sets the ceiling?

Zanus caps voice minutes daily above every campaign, and its FAQ says “The factory caps sit far above a normal reminder day and you can raise them”. Zian is built for volume prospecting: the learning engine tracks around 420,000 data points across more than 10,000 leads a day, and the live site reports 28x more contact attempts.

4. Where does the outcome get written?

Zanus writes outcomes back through native Google and Microsoft calendar sync, webhooks and API, and a standard MCP server. Its connectors page says native sync covers “The leading CRM suites” without naming them, but its pricing FAQ says “If you already use Salesforce or HubSpot, connect it and keep it: Zanus syncs contacts, companies and deals both ways”. Its comparison FAQ describes the API as “read-only”. Zian publishes integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, HighLevel and Zapier, plus API access. Compare the routes in our guide to AI agent CRM integration patterns: native, Zapier or API.

5. Cloud, on-premises, or both?

Zanus’s hosted tenant runs on Cloudflare with US and EU data regions available at onboarding, according to its trust page. Its AI Servers page offers an On-Prem Tokens Server so a hosted tenant can run on your own tokens, and a Private On-Premises AI tier that is “air-gap capable”, delivered configured in about three weeks and priced by quote. Zian offers private model deployment on customer infrastructure. Zanus’s pages we read don’t explain how an air-gapped install reaches the phone network, and Zian’s capability list doesn’t either, so ask both if that is your constraint. See private AI deployment for sales agents for the questions to ask.

What Zanus Auto-Call costs at its published rates

All figures below are US dollars from Zanus’s live pricing feed as at 6 October 2026: Zanus’s prices for Zanus, not a market rate.

  • AI Phone: US$99 a month, including 4,000 credits (Zanus says this is “≈ 100 minutes a month”).
  • AI Auto-Call: US$149 a month, and it requires AI Phone (as listed in the pricing builder).
  • Credits: “1 credit = 1¢” and “A phone minute is about 39 credits”.
  • AI SERVICE solution: US$895 a month, includes AI Phone and Auto-Call among 12 items, with 15,000 credits a month and 5 operators.

That feed drives the builder on Zanus’s pricing page. Zanus’s Auto-Call, AI Phone and call-centre pages say “Scheduled Auto-Call comes inside a solution — see pricing”, while the Auto-Call hub calls the Auto-Call Screens “Available on its own or inside a solution”. The à la carte column assumes the builder’s add-on listing is open to you; the solution column does not.

Take a clinic or service business with 1,500 reminder calls a month that average two connected minutes each: 3,000 minutes.

Line À la carte (AI Phone + Auto-Call, as listed in the pricing builder) AI SERVICE solution
Subscription US$99 + US$149 = US$248 US$895
Minutes used 3,000 × 39 = 117,000 credits 3,000 × 39 = 117,000 credits
Credits included 4,000 15,000
Credits to buy 113,000 = US$1,130 102,000 = US$1,020
Monthly total US$1,378 US$1,915
Per call about US$0.92 about US$1.28

The solution costs more here because it bundles tickets, returns, a CRM, a call desk and AI Assist; Zanus says a solution costs about 25% less than the same items bought one by one. The solution also lists an optional launch service of US$1,495.

Four things to check with Zanus before you budget. Zanus’s own wording, “about 39 credits”, is an approximation, not a fixed rate. Zanus does not say on the pages we read whether unanswered attempts and voicemail drops are billed at the same rate as connected minutes. And language packs beyond English are priced separately. Zanus’s Auto-Call and AI Phone pages also say “Scheduled Auto-Call comes inside a solution”, while its pricing builder lists Auto-Call as a US$149 add-on to AI Phone, so confirm in writing that the à la carte column is available to you.

Zian publishes no prices during its partnership-application beta, so there is no Zian column, and we will not invent one.

Choose Zanus AI if any of these is you

  • Your outbound calls are to existing customers. Reminders, payments, ready orders and renewals are what Auto-Call was built for.
  • You want to hear it before you buy. The 7-day trial needs no credit card.
  • You need a price on day one. Front Office items and solutions are priced publicly, per company rather than per seat; language packs beyond English are quoted.
  • Your data cannot leave the building. Zanus sells air-gap capable on-premises servers alongside its hosted product.
  • Inbound matters as much as outbound. Zanus’s AI Phone answers your main line 24/7, and Zanus says hang-ups are called back automatically on every plan.

Choose Zian AI if any of these is you

  • Your list is prospects. Zian’s Outbound Appointment Setter, Sales Call Closer and Appointment Show-Specialist agents are built for people who have not yet bought from you.
  • You need more than the phone. Phone, SMS, email and WhatsApp, with SmartReach AI pacing follow-up.
  • You want the script to keep improving. PrecisionPitch AI split-tests scripts and approaches against real outcomes. Zian has run outbound acquisition since 2017 and reports a 2,736% increase in lead contact rates on its live site.
  • You sell across languages. 30+ languages with voice cloning.
  • You need private deployment for the sales agent itself. Zian supports private model deployment on customer infrastructure.

Where Zian is the weaker choice

Three things, stated plainly. Zian publishes no prices, so you cannot budget from its website the way the worked example above does for Zanus. Access runs through a partnership application during beta, while Zanus offers a self-serve trial with no card. And for pure reminder calling to existing customers, Zanus has packaged consent records, approval gates and voice-minute caps into the product, while Zian’s published capability list is written for prospecting. If your whole outbound job is reminders, Zanus is the more direct fit.

What Zanus publishes, and what it doesn’t

Zanus publishes a great deal: more than 2,200 URLs in its sitemap, a live pricing feed, and Front Office pages for 14 named applications. On 6 October 2026 we read the Front Office overview, the Auto-Call hub and six sub-pages, the AI Phone, Connectors, CRM and Protection pages, the FAQ, Trust, AI Servers and support pages, the terms of service and the pricing feed.

Two pairs of Zanus statements differ and are worth putting to Zanus in writing: purchased lists (the Front Office overview versus the trust page, quoted above) and the Auto-Call purchase route (the pricing builder versus the product pages).

Not found on those pages: washing against a named national do-not-call register (the Lists & Sign-ups page removes “do-not-call matches” without naming the list), a list of countries where numbers are issued, whether unanswered attempts are billed, and how telephony connects on an air-gapped server. (The connectors page does not name the CRM suites it syncs natively, though the pricing FAQ names Salesforce and HubSpot.) Zanus’s support page says its documentation is “Inside the product, where you need it — the help drawer IS the manual”, which we could not open, so treat each of those as a question rather than a gap.

Scope note: Zanus’s product listings for its on-premises customer-service and telecommunications software call those products TCPA compliant (a US rule). We found no matching statement on the Auto-Call pages; this page applies Australian rules only.

Frequently asked questions

Can Zanus AI make cold calls to prospects?

Zanus’s pages say different things. Its Front Office overview says “Import any list”, then “Trade show leads, purchased lists, old CRM exports — the AI calls, emails and nurtures them by itself.” Its trust page says calls go only to “numbers the contact gave you” and that “Imported contacts are nurture-only with consent required.” Ask Zanus in writing which applies to your list. Its AI Call Desk also lets your own people call from a work queue.

Is an AI reminder call telemarketing in Australia?

Usually not, if it only reminds. The Do Not Call Register’s guidance lists appointment reminders, appointment rescheduling, payments, product recalls, fault verification and solicited calls about orders as calls “not considered to be telemarketing”. Add an offer to the call and check the classification again.

How much does Zanus Auto-Call cost?

As at 6 October 2026, Zanus’s pricing builder lists Auto-Call at US$149 a month on top of AI Phone at US$99 a month, plus credits at 1 US cent each, with a phone minute at about 39 credits. Its Auto-Call page also says “Scheduled Auto-Call comes inside a solution”, so confirm the add-on route in writing. Our worked example puts 3,000 connected minutes at about US$1,378 a month on the add-on route, or US$1,915 on the AI SERVICE solution.

Does Zanus AI wash call lists against the Do Not Call Register?

We found no statement that it does on the zanusai.com pages we read on 6 October 2026. Zanus keeps its own consent and do-not-call flags on each contact, and says uploaded lists have “do-not-call matches removed” without naming the list. Its manual sits inside the product, so ask Zanus directly before relying on either answer.

Which is better for outbound sales calls, Zanus AI or Zian AI?

For prospecting, Zian AI: its agents are built to call, text, email and message people who have not bought yet, in 30+ languages. For reminders and confirmations to existing customers, Zanus AI’s Auto-Call is the more direct fit.

Can either run on my own servers?

Both offer a private route. Zanus sells air-gap capable on-premises servers, priced by quote and delivered in about three weeks. Zian offers private model deployment on customer infrastructure.

Calling prospects, not customers? Zian’s agents work phone, SMS, email and WhatsApp in 30+ languages, with SmartReach AI pacing follow-up and PrecisionPitch AI testing the script. Zian is in partnership-application beta.
