Quick answer
Pick AiSDR if your motion is email and LinkedIn, you want published pricing and a self-serve start, and HubSpot is the centre of your stack. Pick Zian AI if the conversation itself has to happen on the phone, in SMS, on WhatsApp and in email, in more than one language, with the pitch continuously split-tested. AiSDR publishes prices and a SOC 2 claim; Zian does neither, and access is application-gated during beta.
Two different bets about where outbound is won
Most head-to-heads in this category pretend every vendor is building the same product with different logos. AiSDR and Zian AI are not. They have made opposite bets about the moment that decides a deal, and once you see the bet, the choice usually makes itself.
AiSDR’s bet is that the message wins. Its own llms.txt describes execution “across email, LinkedIn (messages, connection requests, InMails), calls (via Aircall), and multimedia (AI video, voice notes, memes)”. The features page puts research, deliverability infrastructure and reply handling at the centre, and states that AiSDR “responds within 10 minutes, 24/7”. That is a coherent, well-built product for a written-channel motion.
Zian’s bet is that the conversation wins. Zian agents run live phone, SMS, email and WhatsApp outreach in 30+ languages with voice cloning, and two systems sit underneath: SmartReach AI orchestrates message, channel and timing by country, industry and profile with intelligent follow-up pacing, and PrecisionPitch AI continuously split-tests scripts and approaches against real success outcomes rather than proxy metrics. If you are still weighing whether written outreach is enough for your market, our breakdown of AI email outreach versus AI sales agents covers that decision on its own terms.
The calling question, answered from AiSDR’s own pages
This is where fair comparison matters most, because “AiSDR does calls” is technically true and widely misread.
AiSDR’s Aircall integration page explains the mechanism plainly: “AiSDR builds your lead lists and outreach sequence, then automatically creates call tasks inside Aircall. Your team simply hits the ‘call’ button with a lead’s row, and AiSDR provides a tailored script and live insights so they’re never calling cold.” The same page summarises the split as “AiSDR handles the automation, while Aircall powers the human connection.” AiSDR’s own site navigation labels its AI Sales Assistant as one that “Handles everything except the live conversations.”
AiSDR is also explicit about why. Its readiness guide lists, under its “Needs a bit more tweaking” heading, “Companies that expect to move cold calling to AI completely – because this is illegal in many places, and AI can’t handle real-time conversations yet”, and under “AI SDRs won’t help you if…”, “You rely entirely on calls and outside sales to close deals”. That is AiSDR telling voice-led buyers, on its own property, that they are not the fit.
So the honest framing is not “AiSDR has no phone”. It is that AiSDR’s phone layer is built to make a human dialler faster, while Zian’s agents hold the live conversation themselves. Both are legitimate designs. They suit different teams. If live voice is your priority, our Zian AI versus Retell AI comparison is a closer match than this one.

Buy AiSDR if any of these is you
- You want an email-led SDR seat replaced, not a call centre rebuilt. AiSDR’s centre of gravity is written outreach with deliverability infrastructure included.
- You need a price before a conversation. AiSDR’s pricing page lists Solo at “$250 /mo” with “200 AI-researched contacts/month”, Explore at “$900 /mo” with “800 AI-researched contacts/month”, and Scale at “$2,500 /mo” with “2,500 AI-researched contacts/month”, and states “All plans are billed monthly. Explore and Scale have quarterly contracts. Cancel anytime.” Checked 30 August 2026. These are AiSDR’s published figures for AiSDR, not a market rate for anything.
- You want to start today without a sales call. The Solo plan advertises “Self-serve onboarding, set up in minutes” and a “Start now without a sales call” button.
- HubSpot is your source of truth. AiSDR’s pricing page includes “Native 2-way HubSpot CRM sync” from the entry plan, with Salesforce sync appearing on Scale.
- You are testing whether outbound works at all. A month-to-month entry tier lets you start that test without going through a partnership process first.
Buy Zian AI if any of these is you
- The deal needs a voice. Trades, clinics, education, construction, councils and financial onboarding rarely convert from an inbox. Zian’s Outbound Appointment Setter and Appointment Show-Specialist agents are built for spoken contact and show-rate recovery.
- You sell across languages or borders. 30+ languages, and SmartReach AI orchestrating channel and timing by country, industry and profile, matter when Tuesday 10am in Sydney is not Tuesday 10am in Manila.
- You want the pitch itself improved, continuously. Zian has run outbound acquisition since 2017; the learning engine tracks around 420,000 data points across more than 10,000 leads a day, and PrecisionPitch AI feeds that back into what the agent actually says.
- Your data cannot leave your infrastructure. Zian supports private model deployment on customer infrastructure.
- You want more than one channel from one system. Phone, SMS, email and WhatsApp under a single orchestration layer, rather than a written sequence with a dialler bolted alongside.
Where Zian is the weaker choice
Three things, stated plainly. Zian publishes no pricing and has no self-serve signup, so you cannot budget from the website the way you can with AiSDR. Access is gated by partnership application during beta, which means a wait AiSDR’s Solo plan does not impose. And Zian has published no security certification, while AiSDR’s own llms.txt states “AiSDR is SOC 2 certified” and it operates a Trust Center at trust.aisdr.com. If a procurement team needs a certification on file this quarter, that gap is real and it is ours.
How we compared
Every AiSDR statement above was taken from a page AiSDR owns, opened directly and read as raw HTML rather than through a summariser, on 30 August 2026. Quoted strings are character-for-character from those pages. Where AiSDR publishes nothing on a dimension we wrote “not published” rather than inferring absence: specifically, we found no statement of language or multilingual coverage, no mention of WhatsApp, and no mention of private, on-premise or single-tenant deployment, across AiSDR’s homepage, pricing page, features page, “why” page, readiness guide, Aircall integration page or llms.txt. AiSDR’s Aircall page does reference blending “text messages” into sequences, so we have not claimed AiSDR lacks SMS. Its knowledge base category list covers campaigns, personas, CRM integrations, LinkedIn outreach and billing, with no category for voice, SMS or language settings. Zian claims come from Zian’s own published capabilities and owner-supplied first-party data, not from third parties. Our wider AI sales agent platform capability matrix uses the same method across a larger field.

FAQ
Is AiSDR cheaper than Zian AI?
Unanswerable, and anyone who answers it is guessing. AiSDR publishes its prices; Zian does not publish pricing during its application-gated beta, so there is no second number to compare against. What you can compare is what each price would have to cover: AiSDR’s plans are scoped by AI-researched contacts, mailboxes and LinkedIn accounts, while Zian is scoped around live conversations across phone, SMS, email and WhatsApp.
Can AiSDR make the sales calls itself?
No, and AiSDR does not claim it can. Its Aircall integration page states that AiSDR “automatically creates call tasks inside Aircall” and that your team hits the call button, with AiSDR supplying the script and live insights. Its readiness guide goes further, warning off “Companies that expect to move cold calling to AI completely – because this is illegal in many places, and AI can’t handle real-time conversations yet”. Zian’s agents do hold the live call.
Does either platform run outbound in languages other than English?
Zian supports 30+ languages including voice cloning. For AiSDR, this is not published: we found no language or multilingual coverage stated on their homepage, pricing page, features page, readiness guide, Aircall integration page or llms.txt as at 30 August 2026. If it matters to you, ask them directly rather than assuming either way.
What are the rules for calling Australian prospects?
The Australian Communications and Media Authority sets the windows. Per the ACMA, telemarketing calls are permitted 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday, and are not allowed on Sunday; research calls run 9am to 8.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. ACMA also states that callers “must not call on national public holidays”. Any voice-capable platform, Zian included, has to be configured to respect this, which is exactly the sort of country-level timing SmartReach AI is built to orchestrate.
Which one is the safer procurement choice on security?
On published certification, AiSDR. Its llms.txt states “AiSDR is SOC 2 certified” and it runs a Trust Center at trust.aisdr.com. Zian has published no security certification, and we will not imply otherwise. The counterweight is architectural rather than paperwork: Zian offers private model deployment on customer infrastructure, which some regulated buyers weigh more heavily than a certificate. Judge both against your own control requirements.
Can I try either without talking to a salesperson?
With AiSDR, yes on the entry tier, which advertises “Self-serve onboarding, set up in minutes” and a “Start now without a sales call” path, though AiSDR’s pricing FAQ states “We currently don’t offer a free trial”. With Zian, no: access during beta runs through a partnership application. That is a genuine friction cost, and worth weighing against whether you need live voice at all.
The decision, in one line
If your pipeline is won in the inbox, AiSDR is the more complete and more transparent product today. If it is won in a conversation, in more than one language, on more than one channel, that is the problem Zian was built for.
Apply For Partnership to see whether a Zian agent fits your outbound motion. We would rather tell you AiSDR is the better fit than sell you the wrong thing.
