Quick answer: RingCentral AI Receptionist costs $49 a month standalone with 100 minutes, then $0.50 a minute; Jobber’s Receptionist is a $29 add-on on top of a Jobber plan (Core $49 a month), with 30 conversations, then $0.79 each (one Jobber help article says 100; Plus includes it). Normalised to 100 three-minute calls, the ten products we could compute on 22 October 2026 ran from $39.99 (Clara by 44pixels) to $212.50 (Smith.ai), including any base plan you must buy.
This is a dated, named-vendor price sheet. For RingCentral AI Receptionist (AIR), Jobber Receptionist, the two products called Clara, Housecall Pro’s CSR AI, Smith.ai, Goodcall, Upfirst, Rosie, Dialzara and Ruby, it gives the plan, price, billing basis, allowance, overage and the subscription you must already pay before the AI is available. Every price comes from that vendor’s own pricing page or help centre, read on 22 October 2026, in the US dollars each page prints. For how pricing units work in general, and for bills at 150, 400 and 1,000 calls a month, see our guide to AI receptionist cost for a small business; this page does not repeat that maths.
Where Zian fits in an AI receptionist budget
Zian AI is our pick when the receptionist has to feed a sales pipeline as well as answer the phone: it answers inbound calls 24/7 as an AI receptionist, qualifies callers, books appointments, transfers and takes messages, then runs follow-up by voice, SMS, email, WhatsApp, Instagram DMs and Facebook Messenger. Zian publishes no price during its partnership-application beta, so there is no Zian figure anywhere on this page; if you would rather not run it yourself, LeadsNow.ai is the done-for-you option, billed pay-per-result.
Zian’s three plans are Intel + Widgets (Free Forever), More Leads & More Intel, and GodMode Max Profits, and each of these starts with a partnership application. The platform handles answering machines and voicemail on calls, works in 30+ languages with voice cloning supported, and connects to HubSpot, Salesforce, HighLevel and Zapier. SmartReach AI™ orchestrates the message, channel and timing of follow-up, and PrecisionPitch AI™ continuously split-tests scripts against real outcomes. Zian has run outbound acquisition since 2017 and reports 50,769+ qualified sales appointments set.
LeadsNow.ai runs those agents for you on Zian, answers leads in under 60 seconds, 24/7, and has set 50,769+ appointments. The honest one-line gap: Zian prints no price during its beta, and LeadsNow.ai prices per result rather than per call, so neither drops into the table below; ask either one for the same breakdown this page uses (unit, allowance, overage and base plan). If your choice is really between a receptionist and an agent that chases the lead afterwards, our comparison of an AI receptionist and an autonomous sales agent sets out where each fits.
How much does RingCentral AI Receptionist cost?
RingCentral AI Receptionist costs $49 a month as a standalone plan with 100 minutes included, or $39 a month as an add-on to RingEX, also with 100 minutes, according to RingCentral’s AI Receptionist pricing page read on 22 October 2026. Beyond the included minutes RingCentral charges “pay-as-you-go charges of $0.50 per minute”, and it says “additional minute bundles are also available for purchase”, without pricing those bundles on the page. Call time “is rounded up and billed in 30-second increments”, so a 2-minute-10-second call bills as 2.5 minutes.
The add-on card is printed as “$39 + $30 /month for AI Receptionist + /month for RingEX Core Plan”. RingEX Core is priced per user: $30 per user a month billed monthly, or $20 per user a month paid annually, on the RingEX plans and pricing page, which also lists AIR as an “Add-on” on Core and Advanced and as included in two “AI Customer Engagement” bundles priced on request.
Does RingCentral AIR require a RingEX plan? No. The standalone plan lists “Works with any business phone system”, and the feature table gives phone compatibility as “Works with any phone” via call forwarding or SIP integration. So on a single user, the add-on route is $39 + $30 = $69 a month before any overage, against $49 standalone. The add-on is only cheaper if you were going to pay for RingEX anyway. Both routes come with a 14-day free trial, according to RingCentral’s FAQ.
What the $49 includes, on the same page: unlimited AI receptionists (“without per-seat or per-bot licensing fees”), a new phone number or porting of your own, calendar integrations with Google and Outlook, CRM integrations with Salesforce, Zoho and HubSpot, and HIPAA and SOC 2 listed as included. In the footnotes, the AI SMS agent carries “Additional charges may apply” and the WhatsApp, Calendly and Shopify integrations are “Coming soon”. If you want RingCentral to route calls to a third-party agent instead, our guide to putting an AI voice agent on RingCentral or Zoom Phone covers the five routes and each one’s documented limitation.
How much does Jobber’s AI Receptionist cost?
Jobber Receptionist costs $29 a month as an add-on, according to Jobber’s pricing page (read on 22 October 2026 through a text reader, because getjobber.com refuses direct requests from our server). The pricing page does not print an allowance. Jobber’s help centre does: its Receptionist help article says “Receptionist can be added-on to select plans for $29 per month, which includes 30 conversations. If you go over 30 conversations in a billing cycle, Jobber charges $0.79 per additional conversation.” The same article says Receptionist “is included on the Plus Plan with unlimited usage”.
Two of Jobber’s own pages disagree on the allowance. A second help article, Add-on Features to your Jobber Plan Subscription, describes Receptionist as including “100 conversations per month”. The Receptionist article is the more detailed of the two: its FAQ says your invoice shows a line item called “Receptionist – 30 Conversations / Month at $29” and that Jobber emails you at 23 conversations. We compute with 30 and show 100 alongside; confirm which applies when you sign up.
What counts as a conversation, from the same article: a call counts “when AI Receptionist actively engages with the caller”, while spam and calls with no real interaction do not. A text conversation stays open for up to 24 hours. At the limit you choose between “Continue and pay overages” and “Pause Receptionist”; when paused, Receptionist takes a message, does not count it, and cannot book.
Is Jobber’s AI Receptionist an add-on to specific plans? Yes. Jobber’s comparison table marks Receptionist as an add-on on three plans and included on the fourth, and its Core plan help article confirms Receptionist is “Available as an add-on to the Core Plan”. Jobber’s llms.txt summary says Plus “bundles Sales Pipeline, Jobber Receptionist” and more. On 22 October the pricing page, at the one-user setting, showed these monthly (no-commitment) prices:
- Core, 1 user: $49 a month, or $29 a month billed annually (the sale cuts the first 12 months to $21).
- Connect, 1 user: $139 a month, or $99 a month billed annually (sale: $70 for 12 months).
- Grow, 1 user: $199 a month, or $149 a month billed annually (sale: $105 for 12 months).
- Plus: not shown at one user. The Internet Archive capture of Jobber’s pricing page taken on 16 October 2026 lists Plus, which includes 5 users, at $499 a month with no commitment, or $399 a month billed annually.
A sale banner (“Save up to 40% Offer ends October 30th”) was live on the day, so the discounted figures on the page are temporary; we use the standard monthly prices. Jobber states “All prices in USD. Subscription plan prices exclude sales tax where applicable.” One more requirement: “a dedicated phone number (DPN) in Jobber is still required”, available in the US, Canada and the UK, per the Receptionist article and Jobber’s Dedicated Phone Number article. That DPN article did not state a DPN charge either way.

Which “Clara AI receptionist” is it, and what does Clara cost?
Two different companies sell an AI receptionist called Clara, and both use the name “Clara AI”, so the autocomplete phrase “clara ai receptionist cost” is ambiguous. We priced both and do not guess which one a searcher means.
Clara, by 44pixels (heyitsclara.com). Its pricing page lists two plans, both with “Unlimited calls answered”. Clara is $39.99 a month, or $399 billed yearly, and is “Single user only”. Clara Pro is $69.99 a month, or $699 billed yearly, adds live call transfers, automated text follow-ups and multiple users, and charges “$29/mo per seat” for extra users, billed monthly even on an annual plan. The pricing FAQ says: “Every plan answers unlimited calls, so a busy month costs the same as a quiet one. There are no per-call or per-minute charges on top of the plan price.” Eligible monthly plans start with 7 days free.
Clara AI (getclaraai.com). This Clara is built for med spas, dental clinics and home-service businesses. Its pricing page, also published as Markdown with “Currency: USD. Prices are monthly”, lists Starter at $99 a month, Essential at $299, Growth at $500 (“Most Popular”) and Scale as “Custom, from $749/month”. Direct booking into Boulevard, Vagaro, Mindbody or Zenoti starts on Growth. The page says pricing is “based on how many calls you actually get” but prints no call or minute allowance for any plan, so we did not compute a per-call figure for it.
How much does Housecall Pro’s AI receptionist cost?
Housecall Pro sells its AI call answering as CSR AI, listed among the add-ons on its pricing page. We could not find a published price for CSR AI, as at 22 October 2026, on that pricing page, the CSR AI product page or three Housecall Pro help-centre articles about CSR AI, including the CSR AI Overview. The base plans are published: Basic at $79 a month billed monthly or $59 billed annually with 1 user, Essentials at $189 or $149 with 5 users, and Max at $329 a month billed monthly or $299 billed annually with 8 users, plus “$35/mo per additional user” on Max. So the base-plan trap is visible here even though the AI line is not: you need a Housecall Pro plan before CSR AI is available to you.
Every named AI receptionist price, plan by plan
The table lists each vendor’s entry plan and its billing basis exactly as the vendor prints it, read on 22 October 2026. “Base you must already pay” is the subscription required before the AI receptionist is available to you.

| Ruby (human receptionists, AI-assisted) | 50 minutes, $250 a month | Monthly | 50 to 500 receptionist minutes | Plan’s overage rate; figure not on the pricing page | Standalone | None |
The sentence to keep: of the ten AI receptionist products we priced, two (Jobber Receptionist and Housecall Pro CSR AI) are sold as add-ons to a paid field-service plan, RingCentral’s is sold both standalone at $49 and as a $39 add-on that needs RingEX, and the other seven are sold standalone.
Cost per 100 answered calls, normalised across vendors
Vendors count minutes, calls, unique customers or conversations, so headline prices are not comparable. This table pushes the same months through every vendor’s published plan rules and divides the bill by the number of hundreds of calls. It is computed by script from the plan terms in the table above, choosing the cheapest plan or plan-plus-overage at each volume.
Assumptions, stated so you can change them. Every call lasts 3 minutes and is billable (no spam or short-call exclusions, which flatters nobody). One call is one Jobber conversation. Goodcall customers are calls divided by 1.5, Goodcall’s own ratio of “About 150 calls/month” per 100 customers; if every caller is new, the figures below do not change at these volumes. Standard monthly prices, one user, no promotions, taxes, setup or number fees. Rosie’s automatic plan upgrade is treated as buying the plan that fits.
| Product | 100 calls a month: AI line only | 100 calls: including the base plan | 500 calls a month: AI line only, per 100 calls | 500 calls: including the base plan, per 100 calls | The base-plan trap |

Three patterns show. First, flat and per-customer pricing gets cheaper per call as volume rises: Clara by 44pixels falls from $39.99 to $8.00 per 100 calls, Goodcall from $79.00 to $25.80. Second, per-minute pricing barely moves: RingCentral standalone is $149.00 per 100 calls at 100 calls and $149.80 at 500, because nearly every minute is billed at the same $0.50. Third, the base plan dominates small volumes for the two add-on products: at 100 calls Jobber’s line is $84.30, but $133.30 once Core is counted, and RingCentral’s $39 add-on route ends up $20 dearer than its own standalone plan.
The spread at 100 calls, including the base plan, runs from $39.99 (Clara by 44pixels) to $212.50 (Smith.ai) across the ten computed rows. At 500 calls it runs from $8.00 to $160.00 per 100 calls. The cheapest row is not automatically the right one: Clara’s entry plan is single-user without live call transfers, and Smith.ai’s price includes a route to “a live North America-based receptionist”, which Smith.ai itself describes as why “it’s a bit pricier than the competition”.
The base-plan trap: what you pay before the AI add-on
The base-plan trap is the part of an AI receptionist bill that is not on the AI receptionist’s price tag: the platform subscription the add-on is sold on. It is invisible if you already pay for that platform, and it is the largest line on the bill if you do not. Ask one question before comparing add-on prices: “Would I be paying for this platform anyway?”
| If you… | The cheaper route on the vendors’ own terms | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Already pay for RingEX | RingCentral AIR add-on, $39 | Same 100 minutes as standalone for $10 a month less |
| Do not use RingEX | RingCentral AIR standalone, $49 | The add-on route needs RingEX Core at $30 per user a month, making it $69 before overage |
| Already run your business on Jobber Core, Connect or Grow | Jobber Receptionist add-on, $29 | Books into the Jobber schedule you already use; watch the 30-conversation allowance |
| Run a multi-user Jobber team | Price Plus against Grow plus the $29 add-on | Plus includes Receptionist with unlimited usage; the 16 October capture lists Plus, with 5 users, at $499 a month with no commitment or $399 billed annually |
| Do not use Jobber or Housecall Pro | A standalone receptionist | At 100 calls, the two cheapest standalone rows (Clara by 44pixels at $39.99, Upfirst at $69.95) cost less than Jobber’s add-on plus Core under either allowance reading |
| Already use Housecall Pro | Ask Housecall Pro for the CSR AI price | We could not find it published |
The trap has a second form: the extras the add-on needs to work. Jobber Receptionist needs a Jobber dedicated phone number, which Jobber says is available only in the US, Canada and the UK. Clara by 44pixels charges $29 a month per extra user on Pro. Upfirst charges $9.95 a month for each additional agent, for a second business or location.
What if no named AI receptionist fits?
Rounding rules, spam exclusions and what happens when an allowance runs out also move the bill; our small-business cost guide works through each one. If none of the finished products fits, building your own receptionist prices out differently: you pay separately for the number, the speech and model usage, and the engineering. Our guide on how to build an AI receptionist, and when not to covers what that build involves and when it is the wrong call.
How this price sheet was built
Method. A product is listed if it is sold as an AI receptionist (or, for Ruby, as a human receptionist service with AI features) and its own site publishes a price. Every figure was read on the vendor’s own pricing page, help centre, Markdown export or page data on 22 October 2026; no review or comparison site was used for any price. Jobber refuses direct requests from our server, so its pages were read through a text-rendering reader the same day, and the Plus price comes from the Internet Archive capture of 16 October 2026. The normalised table is our arithmetic, done by script, under the assumptions printed above it.
Disclosure. zian.ai publishes this page and places Zian AI first in a list it appears in. Zian AI is our pick and LeadsNow.ai, which runs on Zian, is the done-for-you pick. No vendor paid to be included, and no Zian or LeadsNow.ai price appears: Zian publishes none during its partnership-application beta, and LeadsNow.ai is billed per result, not per call, so it is not quoted here.
Frequently asked questions
How much does RingCentral’s AI Receptionist cost?
RingCentral lists AI Receptionist (AIR) as a standalone plan from $49 a month with 100 minutes, or as an add-on from $39 a month with 100 minutes, shown on its pricing card as $39 plus $30 for the RingEX Core plan. Beyond the included minutes it charges $0.50 a minute, billed in 30-second increments (RingCentral AI Receptionist pricing, read 22 October 2026). At 100 three-minute calls a month that is $149 standalone.
Do I need a RingEX plan to use RingCentral AI Receptionist?
No. RingCentral sells AIR standalone and says it works with any business phone system, by call forwarding or SIP. The $39 add-on price applies alongside RingEX, whose Core plan is $30 per user a month billed monthly or $20 billed annually (RingEX plans and pricing, read 22 October 2026). If you do not already pay for RingEX, the standalone plan is the cheaper route.
How much does Jobber’s AI Receptionist cost?
Jobber’s pricing page lists Receptionist as a $29-a-month add-on. Jobber’s help centre says the add-on includes 30 conversations, then $0.79 per additional conversation, and that Receptionist is included with unlimited usage on the Plus plan (Jobber Help Center: Receptionist, read 22 October 2026). You also pay for a Jobber plan; Core is $49 a month billed monthly. Another Jobber help article says the add-on includes 100 conversations, so confirm the allowance at sign-up.
How much does Clara AI receptionist cost?
Two different products call themselves Clara AI. Clara by 44pixels lists Clara at $39.99 a month or $399 a year and Clara Pro at $69.99 a month or $699 a year, both with unlimited calls answered (Clara pricing, read 22 October 2026). Clara AI at getclaraai.com, built for med spas and service businesses, lists Starter at $99 a month, Essential at $299, Growth at $500 and Scale from $749.
What is the cheapest AI receptionist per call?
In our cost-per-100-calls table, at 500 three-minute calls a month, the lowest computed figure was Clara by 44pixels at $8.00 per 100 calls, because its plans answer unlimited calls for a flat fee. Goodcall was next at $25.80. At 100 calls a month the lowest were Clara at $39.99 and Upfirst at $69.95. Cheapest per call is not the same as best fit: check transfers, booking and users on the plan.
Does Zian AI publish a price?
No. Zian AI is in a partnership-application beta and publishes no price, so no Zian figure appears on this page. Its three plans are Intel + Widgets (Free Forever), More Leads & More Intel, and GodMode Max Profits, and each of these starts with a partnership application. LeadsNow.ai, the done-for-you option, is billed pay-per-result.
