Quick answer: Quo (formerly OpenPhone) fits small teams answering calls: Business is US$23 a user a month billed annually, no stated minimum, with an inbound AI agent priced per call. JustCall fits teams dialling out: power dialler from US$49, 2-licence minimum, per-minute AI agent. Prices as at 2 November 2026. For AI follow-up across channels, start with Zian.
JustCall and Quo both sell a cloud business phone with an AI agent attached, which is why they land on the same shortlist. They are built for different jobs. Quo (formerly OpenPhone) is a per-user phone for small teams in the US and Canada, with Sona, an AI agent that answers inbound calls. JustCall is a contact-centre and sales-dialler platform sold in US, Australian, UK and European regions, with power and predictive diallers and an AI Voice Agent that handles inbound and outbound calls. Every vendor fact below comes from quo.com, support.quo.com, justcall.io and help.justcall.io, read on 2 November 2026, in US dollars unless marked A$.
Where Zian fits next to Quo or JustCall
If what you actually need is every caller answered and every lead chased, choose the AI agent first and the phone seats second. Zian AI is an AI sales and reception agents platform: its agents answer inbound calls 24/7 as an AI receptionist that qualifies callers, books appointments, transfers and takes messages, and they run outbound follow-up by voice calls, SMS, email, WhatsApp, Instagram DMs and Facebook Messenger, with answering-machine and voicemail handling on calls.
Zian’s SmartReach AI™ chooses the message, channel and timing of each follow-up, and PrecisionPitch AI™ keeps split-testing scripts against real outcomes. It works in 30+ languages, supports voice cloning, looks things up on the web and in your knowledge base, and connects to HubSpot, Salesforce, HighLevel and Zapier. Zian’s home page counts 50,769+ qualified sales appointments set, and says its AI books 40+ meetings/week for many teams.
Sona and JustCall’s AI Voice Agent are real competitors for part of that job, and both are covered fairly below. The difference is scope: Sona answers inbound calls on Quo numbers (and, in beta, qualifies leads over SMS), and JustCall’s agent works on JustCall numbers. Zian runs inbound answering and multi-channel outbound follow-up from one platform. Zian is in a partnership-application beta with no published prices; each of its three listed plans, including Intel + Widgets (Free Forever), starts with a partnership application. If you would rather hand the whole job over, LeadsNow.ai runs managed AI appointment setting on Zian, paid per result, with leads answered in under 60 seconds, 24/7.
JustCall vs Quo: the shortlist
Ranked for a buyer whose real goal is answered calls and booked appointments. Disclosure: zian.ai publishes this list and Zian appears in it; the method is set out in “How we compared JustCall and Quo” below.
| # | Option | What it is | AI that talks to callers | Price basis, as at 2 November 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Zian AI (platform pick) | AI sales and reception agents platform, inbound and outbound | AI receptionist 24/7; outbound voice, SMS, email, WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger; 30+ languages | Partnership-application beta; no published prices; Intel + Widgets listed as Free Forever |
| 2 | LeadsNow.ai (done-for-you pick) | Managed AI appointment setting and lead generation that runs on Zian | Leads answered in under 60 seconds, 24/7; 50,769+ appointments | Pay-per-result |
| 3 | Quo (formerly OpenPhone) | Per-user business phone for small teams, US and Canadian numbers | Sona: inbound calls only, English, Spanish, French; SMS lead capture in beta | US$15–35 a user a month annual (US$19–47 monthly); Sona from free (10 calls) to US$199 (600 calls) |
| 4 | JustCall | Contact-centre phone with sales diallers, US/AU/UK/EU regions | AI Voice Agent: inbound and outbound (outbound enabled on request), 14 languages | US$29–89 a licence a month annual (US$39–109 monthly), 2-licence minimum; AI from US$0.99 a minute pay-as-you-go |
Is Quo the same as OpenPhone?
Yes. Quo’s own changelog entry of 23 September 2025, titled “OpenPhone is now Quo”, says “OpenPhone has a new name — Quo. Same platform you know and love.” It lists what did not change: “your phone numbers, your conversations, your team setup — stays exactly the same. We’re just getting a new name and a fresh look.” openphone.com now redirects to quo.com, Quo’s fair-use policy names the company “OpenPhone (DBA: Quo)”, and its help articles still say “Quo, formerly OpenPhone”. So reviews and guides written about OpenPhone describe the same product, though prices and features have moved since.
JustCall vs Quo pricing, plan by plan
Quo prices per user with no minimum stated on its pricing page, plans article or subscription article. JustCall prices per licence and says plainly that it does “not offer single-user or single-seat plans”: all plans, billing cycles and regions need at least 2 licences.
| Plan | Billed annually (per user a month) | Billed monthly | Minimum | What the tier adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quo Starter | US$15 (US$180 a year) | US$19 | None stated | One local or toll-free number per user, US and Canada calling and texting, voicemail transcripts, API, Sona with 1,000 free credits |
| Quo Business | US$23 (US$276 a year) | US$33 | None stated | AI call summaries and transcripts, call transfers, phone menus, HubSpot and Salesforce, auto call recording |
| Quo Scale | US$35 (US$420 a year) | US$47 | None stated | AI call tags, dedicated onboarding, priority and phone support |
| JustCall Team | US$29 | US$39 | 2 licences | Unlimited US/Canada calling (fair use), 500 SMS segments a licence, 100+ CRM and data integrations |
| JustCall Pro | US$49 | US$69 | 2 licences | Power dialler, bulk SMS campaigns, Salesforce CTI, 1,000 SMS segments a licence |
| JustCall Pro Plus | US$89 | US$109 | 2 licences | AI Review Assist included, coaching comments, real-time agent assist, AI call scoring, sentiment analysis |
| JustCall Business / SalesPro | Quote | Quote | 10 (Business, per pricing page) / 2 (SalesPro) | SalesPro: predictive dialler up to 10 lines, power and dynamic diallers; help centre also lists SalesPro Lite at US$79 annual (US$99 monthly), 3,000-minute allowance, part of a legacy-dialler migration |
Annual billing saves 21.1% on Quo Starter, 30.3% on Business and 25.5% on Scale, against 25.6% on JustCall Team, 29.0% on Pro and 18.3% on Pro Plus. Numbers differ too. Quo includes one number per user and charges US$5 a month for each extra. JustCall includes two numbers per account (one for JustCall, one for its Sales Dialer) if each costs US$6 or less, and gives 20% off extra numbers on annual plans, so a US$6 number costs US$4.80. JustCall add-ons such as AI Review Assist (US$9 a user a month on Team and Pro) are charged “for every license” on the account.
Two limbs sit behind the headline prices. Quo’s unlimited US and Canada calling is “Subject to our Fair Usage Policy”, which reserves the right “to impose limits and charge overages” for use that is not normal. JustCall’s unlimited calling “may not be used for scaled telephone uses including but not limited to telephone operators, call centers, and/or telemarketing professionals.” On leaving: Quo keeps your plan active to the end of the billing cycle and holds numbers for 60 days; JustCall’s refund policy accepts refunds only for a duplicate payment or a charge made by mistake after cancellation.
Quo Sona vs JustCall AI Voice Agent: per call or per minute
The AI agents are where these two products differ most, and the billing unit is the first thing to check. Quo bills Sona per answered call through “automation credits” (1 call = 100 credits), and calls under 15 seconds do not count. JustCall bills its AI Voice Agent per minute.
| Question | Quo Sona | JustCall AI Voice Agent |
|---|---|---|
| Billing unit | Per call (100 credits a call) | Per minute |
| Included free | 1,000 credits (about 10 calls) a month on all Quo plans | 100 free test minutes (help centre and pricing page); one product-page FAQ says 30 minutes |
| Paid options | US$25 (40 calls), US$49 (100), US$99 (250), US$199 (600) a month | US$0.99 a minute pay-as-you-go; 100 minutes for US$99 or 300 for US$249 a month; higher volumes quoted by sales; pricing page shows “volume discounts down to $0.15/min” |
| Overage | US$1.00 to US$0.45 a call by tier; off by default, so Sona stops answering when credits run out | US$0.99 a minute, deducted from JustCall credits |
| Rollover | Credits expire each billing period | Unused minutes do not carry over |
| Inbound calls | Yes, 24/7 | Yes, 24/7 |
| Outbound calls | No: “Sona currently answers only inbound calls” | Yes, through its API once outbound is enabled on your account |
| Languages | English, Spanish, French; cannot switch mid-call | 14 listed; switches language mid-call |
| Booking | Texts a booking link during the call; cannot reschedule or cancel on a live call | Reserves calendar slots on the call from live availability |
| Texting | Sona lead capture over SMS, beta since 17 August 2026, free while in beta | Sends texts during and after the call |
| Who can buy | Paid Quo plan, Admin or Owner, online payments | Active JustCall subscription; Owner, Admin or billing permission |
Here is the per-call vs per-minute test. Divide the AI price by the calls it covers, then compare it with the per-minute price times your average AI-answered call length. Quo’s US$49 tier works out at US$0.49 a call. JustCall’s 300-minute bundle works out at US$0.83 a minute (US$249 ÷ 300). So at list prices JustCall could only be cheaper per AI call if calls averaged under about 35 seconds (0.49 ÷ 0.83 = 0.59 minutes), or about 30 seconds against pay-as-you-go at US$0.99. That window may not exist: JustCall’s pricing guide says “Calls are charged per minute. Every call counts as at least 1 minute, and partial minutes are rounded up.” It does not say whether that rule also covers AI Voice Agent minutes, so ask; if it does, the cheapest JustCall AI call is US$0.83, above Quo’s US$0.49. If a JustCall quote reached the US$0.15 floor on its pricing page, the crossover would move out to about 3.3 minutes. The page states no volume for that rate.
The test only compares like with like on inbound calls. If you need the agent to call leads back, Sona cannot do that today and JustCall’s agent can. Its outbound mode “must be enabled on your account” through a customer success manager or support before you can use it. The 30-versus-100 free-minute gap is a JustCall self-contradiction: its pricing page says “First 100 minutes on us” and its help centre says 100, while one FAQ on its AI Voice Agent page says 30. JustCall’s help centre also says to “connect with Sales/Account Manager team for tailored price”, so a quote can differ from the published bundles.
What 1, 5 and 20 users cost on JustCall and Quo: the worked bill
List prices only, computed by script on 2 November 2026, in US dollars a month, before taxes, international calls and 10DLC fees. Assumptions: one direct line per user, with each JustCall number beyond its free one at US$6 a month (JustCall’s own example price, US$4.80 on annual plans); Quo Business (the tier with call transfers and HubSpot and Salesforce) against JustCall Team (the entry tier with CRM integrations); and AI-answered calls growing with the team, at 30, 100 and 400 calls a month of 3 minutes each (90, 300 and 1,200 minutes). For each vendor we used the cheapest published AI option for that volume.
| Team | Quo seats (Business) | Quo Sona | Quo total | JustCall seats (Team) | JustCall extra numbers | JustCall AI Voice Agent | JustCall total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 user, 30 AI calls (annual billing) | US$23 | US$20 (free 10 calls + 20 at US$1.00) | US$43.00 | US$58 (2-licence minimum) | US$0 | US$89.10 (90 min pay-as-you-go) | US$147.10 |
| 5 users, 100 AI calls (annual) | US$115 | US$49 (100-call tier) | US$164.00 | US$145 | US$19.20 (4 × US$4.80) | US$249 (300-minute bundle) | US$413.20 |
| 20 users, 400 AI calls (annual) | US$460 | US$181.50 (US$99 tier + 150 at US$0.55) | US$641.50 | US$580 | US$91.20 (19 × US$4.80) | US$1,140 (US$249 + 900 min at US$0.99) | US$1,811.20 |
| 1 user (monthly billing) | US$33 | US$20 | US$53.00 | US$78 | US$0 | US$89.10 | US$167.10 |
| 5 users (monthly) | US$165 | US$49 | US$214.00 | US$195 | US$24.00 (4 × US$6) | US$249 | US$468.00 |
| 20 users (monthly) | US$660 | US$181.50 | US$841.50 | US$780 | US$114.00 (19 × US$6) | US$1,140 | US$2,034.00 |
Without any AI agent, on annual billing, Quo Business costs US$23, US$115 and US$460 a month at 1, 5 and 20 users, against US$58, US$164.20 and US$671.20 on JustCall Team with the same direct lines. With AI added, the AI line drives the gap: per AI-answered call, Quo comes to US$0.67, US$0.49 and US$0.45 at the three sizes, and JustCall to US$2.97, US$2.49 and US$2.85, because a 3-minute call costs three JustCall minutes and one Quo call.
Read the table with three caveats. First, the two agents are not equivalent: JustCall’s calls out, books into a calendar on the call and speaks 14 languages, and Sona does none of those. Second, the one-user Quo figure needs Sona overages switched on (they are off by default). Without them, the US$25 tier covers 40 calls. Third, JustCall sells higher-volume minutes by quote and advertises volume rates “down to $0.15/min”. At that rate the 20-user AI line would be US$180, not US$1,140, so get a quote before treating the 20-user row as final. For how these AI lines compare with staffed answering, see our breakdown of AI receptionist costs for a small business.

Which has a dialler, JustCall or Quo?
JustCall does; Quo, as far as we could find, does not. JustCall’s power dialler is on Pro (US$49 a licence a month annual), and its pricing page lists a “Predictive dialer (up to 10 lines)” plus power and dynamic diallers on SalesPro, sold by quote. Its help centre also lists SalesPro Lite at US$79 a user a month billed annually (US$99 monthly), with SalesPro’s features and a 3,000-minute fair-use allowance, and describes it as part of a migration of legacy dialler customers to standardised plans, so ask whether a new account can buy it. Its Sales Dialer guide says Pro, Pro Plus and Business get unlimited Auto Dialer campaigns, while predictive and dynamic campaigns beyond the trial allowance need SalesPro. Every new account starts on a 14-day SalesPro trial with up to three campaigns of each dialler type.
We could not find a power or predictive dialler anywhere on Quo’s site, as at 2 November 2026. We checked its 524-URL sitemap, pricing page, sales-team page, Resource Center index and full changelog. Quo’s fair-use policy goes further. Under “Rules for Calling on Quo” it says: “Do not use bots, auto-dialers, or any automated calling systems under any circumstances.” It also bars placing “calls without proper consent, including cold calls or prerecorded campaigns lacking a clear opt-out mechanism.” Quo’s own comparison page calls JustCall “a transactional tool designed for large contact centers and outbound sales teams”. Whatever you think of that framing, it tells you which buyer Quo is not built for.
JustCall sets its own limits on outbound work. Its AI Voice Agent page says automated outbound calling to purchased lists without consent “violates the TCPA” and that JustCall “does not support this practice”. Its unlimited minutes exclude call centres and telemarketing, as above.
Texting, 10DLC and porting on Quo and JustCall
Both carry SMS and MMS, and both require US carrier registration (A2P 10DLC) before you can text US numbers. They pass on different fees, as each vendor states them:
| Item | Quo | JustCall |
|---|---|---|
| Texts included | US and Canada texts sent from the Quo app included (fair use); API or integration texts US$0.01 a segment | Team 500 SMS segments a licence a month (US/Canada), Pro and Pro Plus 1,000; Team in Australia, UK or Europe includes none |
| 10DLC one-time fees | US$19.50 (paid to The Campaign Registry); US$15 to resubmit if rejected | Brand US$46 (from 1 August 2025) plus US$15 per campaign submission |
| 10DLC monthly fees | US$1.50 for most organisations, US$3 for non-profits, US$2 for sole proprietors | US$10 a regular campaign, US$2 a low-volume mixed campaign |
| Approval time, as each states it | “Most approvals happen within 24-48 hours”; some pending up to 20 days; rarely more than 30 | Trial note: “the wait time may be up to 14 days”; adding numbers to an approved campaign about 8–10 business days |
| Texting on trial | No US texting on the 7-day trial | Available after 10DLC registration |
| We could not find WhatsApp messaging on Quo’s pricing page, sitemap, Resource Center index or changelog | Team and above; Meta charges separately; “JustCall does not add per-message fees” | |
| Porting in | Free in and out; most ports 3–7 business days; US and Canadian local and North American toll-free numbers only | Fee and timeline shown per country in the port form; country guides include Australia, UK and New Zealand; no downtime |
Two porting details matter. Quo says to start 10DLC registration “before or at the same time as your port request” so you can text as soon as the number arrives. JustCall says SMS routing on a ported US number is typically set up within 2–3 business days. Quo also states that “virtual phone number providers like Quo do not offer emergency call services (eg 911)”, so keep another line for emergencies. For how long registration takes across carriers, see our guide to A2P 10DLC registration timelines.
Can an Australian business use Quo or JustCall?
Quo gives you US and Canadian numbers only: its local-numbers article says “we do not yet support numbers outside of the US and Canada,” and its porting guide does not accept international numbers. You can use Quo from Australia, but your customers would be calling a North American number. JustCall has an Australian region billed in Australian dollars: Team A$45 and Pro A$75 a licence a month billed annually (A$60 and A$105 monthly), and Pro Plus A$145 (A$175). The Australian region has its own limits. Team caps outbound calling at 1,000 minutes a licence and includes no SMS segments; Pro and Pro Plus make outbound unlimited (fair use) with 500 SMS segments a licence. Each account picks one region, and calls outside it are charged from credits. With the Australian region selected, JustCall’s pricing page shows AI Voice Agent volume discounts down to A$0.22 a minute; its US$0.99 pay-as-you-go rate and US$99 and US$249 bundles are published in US dollars.
Pick Quo if, pick JustCall if: the decision table
| If this is true for you | Pick | Why, from the vendor’s own pages |
|---|---|---|
| You want AI that answers inbound calls and follows up across SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger | Zian | AI receptionist 24/7 plus outbound follow-up on six channels; partnership-application beta |
| You want the whole appointment-setting job run for you | LeadsNow.ai | Managed, pay-per-result, runs on Zian |
| You are one person or a small team mostly answering calls, in the US or Canada | Quo | Per-user pricing with no minimum stated; Business US$23 annual |
| Your AI agent answers calls averaging over about 35 seconds | Quo | US$0.49 a call on the 100-call tier against US$0.83 a minute on JustCall’s 300-minute bundle |
| You need the AI agent to call leads, or to speak more than English, Spanish and French | JustCall | Outbound once enabled; 14 languages with mid-call switching |
| Your reps dial lists | JustCall | Power dialler on Pro; predictive up to 10 lines on SalesPro; Quo’s fair use bars auto-dialers |
| You need Australian, UK or European numbers | JustCall | Regional plans in A$, £ and €; Quo supports US and Canadian numbers only |
| You want to try before paying without a card | JustCall | 14-day trial, “No credit card required”; Quo’s 7-day trial requires a card |
| You are one user and want the lowest seat bill | Quo | US$15 a month on Starter annual against JustCall’s 2-licence floor of US$58 |
Who each option is wrong for
Zian is wrong for anyone who needs a published price today: it is in a partnership-application beta with no published prices.
LeadsNow.ai is wrong for teams that want to configure and run the agents themselves, since it is a managed service.
Quo is wrong for outbound sales floors (no dialler that we could find, and its fair use bans auto-dialers), for anyone who needs the AI agent to call out (Sona is inbound only), for callers in languages other than English, Spanish and French, and for businesses that need numbers outside the US and Canada. Starter also limits a shared number to 10 paid users and leaves AI summaries to Sona-handled calls.
JustCall is wrong for a solo operator watching the bill (the 2-licence minimum doubles a one-person seat cost), for teams whose AI agent will take long calls (at US$0.99 a minute pay-as-you-go, a 5-minute AI call costs US$4.95), and for call centres relying on “unlimited” calling, which its Fair Usage Policy excludes. Its Australian Team plan also includes no SMS segments.
CRM integrations and free trials on Quo and JustCall
Quo puts HubSpot and Salesforce on Business and above, and its pricing page also lists Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, Attio, Clio, Jobber, Gong, HighLevel, Housecall Pro, JobTread, Zapier, Make, Slack, webhooks and its API. Its changelog for the last 90 days added two-way HighLevel sync (30 September 2026, Business and Scale), JobTread (29 September), Housecall Pro contacts (1 October) and a unified webhooks page (29 October). Quo also connects to ChatGPT and Claude through an MCP server, and its in-app Quo Agent is in beta and free while in beta. JustCall lists “100+ CRM & data integrations” from Team, with Salesforce CTI from Pro. Its What’s New page added WhatsApp messages from HubSpot workflows on 24 September 2026.
Trials differ in length and in what they unlock. Quo’s is 7 days with full access to every feature, including Sona, but no US texting and no international calls, and it needs a card. JustCall’s is 14 days on SalesPro, “No credit card required”, capped at 100 calling minutes (50 each way) and 7 minutes a call, with call transfer and merge switched off. If you also want to weigh JustCall against a third system, our Aircall vs JustCall comparison uses the same method.
How we compared JustCall and Quo
Every vendor fact comes from the vendor’s own pages, read on 2 November 2026: Quo’s pricing page, Sona, voice-agent, appointment-setter, porting, fair-use and comparison pages, Resource Center articles on plans, trials, credits, Sona pricing, local numbers, messaging, porting and carrier registration, and its full changelog; and JustCall’s pricing page and its price data, AI Voice Agent, WhatsApp and fair-usage pages, help-centre articles on licences, bundled usage, AI Voice Agent pricing, outbound calling, refunds, trials, the Sales Dialer, 10DLC and porting, and its What’s New page. Inclusion rule: a feature counts as offered only where the vendor’s own page says so for the plan named; where two of a vendor’s pages disagree, we print both. We read every Quo changelog entry from 4 August to 2 November 2026 (15 entries, none changing a plan price). On JustCall’s What’s New page we read the entries from 18 September to 26 October 2026. Earlier entries load from a separate server that refused our requests (HTTP 429) throughout 2 November 2026, so JustCall updates from early August to mid-September are not reflected here. Zian is described only from its published capabilities. zian.ai publishes this comparison and appears in it.
JustCall vs Quo: frequently asked questions
Is Quo the same company as OpenPhone?
Yes. Quo’s changelog entry of 23 September 2025 says “OpenPhone has a new name — Quo” and that your phone numbers, conversations and team setup stay the same. openphone.com now redirects to quo.com.
Is JustCall or Quo cheaper?
Quo, on the plans we compared, at list prices as at 2 November 2026. Quo Business is US$23 a user a month billed annually with no minimum stated, and JustCall Team is US$29 with a 2-licence minimum. With an AI agent answering 100 calls of 3 minutes a month, 5 users come to US$164 a month on Quo and US$413.20 on JustCall in our worked bill, though JustCall quotes higher-volume AI minutes separately.
Does Quo have a power dialler?
We could not find one on Quo’s site as at 2 November 2026, and its fair-use policy says “Do not use bots, auto-dialers, or any automated calling systems under any circumstances.” JustCall has a power dialler on Pro and a predictive dialler of up to 10 lines on SalesPro.
Can Quo’s Sona make outbound calls?
No. Quo’s Sona page says “Sona currently answers only inbound calls.” JustCall’s AI Voice Agent handles inbound and outbound calls, and outbound has to be enabled on your account first.
What is the minimum number of users on JustCall and Quo?
JustCall requires at least 2 licences on all plans, billing cycles and regions, and its pricing page lists 10 for Business. Quo prices per user and states no minimum on its pricing page, so one user on Starter is US$15 a month billed annually.
Do I need 10DLC registration on JustCall and Quo?
Yes, on both, before texting US numbers. Quo lists a US$19.50 one-time fee and US$1.50 to US$3 a month. JustCall lists a US$46 brand fee, US$15 per campaign submission and US$10 a month for a regular campaign.
Can I use Quo in Australia?
Only with North American numbers. Quo supports local and toll-free numbers in the US and Canada and not yet elsewhere. JustCall has an Australian region, with Team at A$45 a licence a month billed annually.
